On the 21st - at the Metropole in Brighton we celebrated TrekChina0907 and presented cheques for £95,000 to the charities we supported.Olympic gold medalist Sally Gunnell - who kindly let us use her house as starting point for our training and also our planning meetings - presented the cheques. It was wonderful to have her support.
We had a great time. Most of the Trekkers were able to attend, and we set up a live video hook up to Mike and Anurag in the USA.
So that's it! Job done. I'm sure that the "brothers and sisters" will stick together in the years ahead. But for now we have a great feeling of a job well done and some amazing and enduring memories of that stunning week in China in September.
